Write-On
About
All upperclassmen, including rising 2L/2Es, 3L/3Es, 4Es, and LLMs, are invited to join GLTR. Beyond access and exposure to the most cutting-edge legal research, staff members as early as 2Ls have opportunities to take on leadership opportunities as Assistant Editors. Because GLTR publishes Legal Impressions and Tech Explainers, staff members also have the chance to publish as early as the first semester they join. No technical background is necessary.
Returning Georgetown Students
To join GLTR, first-year law students and transfer students participate in a Write-On process run separately from Georgetown’s Office of Journal Administration. For 2024-2025, the Write-On took place between May 26th and June 9th of 2024. To join the Write-On process in 2025-26, please fill out this form.
Transfer and LLM Students
GLTR also LLM students new to Georgetown the opportunity to become a staff member of the journal. The Write On for these students, which is substantively the same as that for returning Georgetown students, will take place later in the summer. For 2024-2025, LLM Write-On took place between August 1st and August 11th of 2024. To join the Write-On process in 2025-26, please fill out this form.
